This 1960 Lamborghini 5C is a crawler tractor that is powered by an air-cooled 2.2-liter three-cylinder diesel paired to a 4-speed manual transmission with a hi/lo transfer case. One owner, fully operational following a restoration in 2023.
Ferrucio Lamborghini began producing tractors in 1948 using discarded war materiel, with sports car production beginning in 1963 following a dispute with Enzo Ferrari.
The 5C is finished with traditional Lamborghini Trattori orange bodywork, with a light blue finish on the chassis and track components. The correct bonnet badge remains in place, and the front and rear lights are believed to be correct.
The operator’s seating area remains in as-restored condition, including the functional gauges and a toolbox with Lamborghini pressed into the lid. The crawler is controlled with a hand throttle and is steered using two brake pedals, along with directional hand control levers.
Power is provided by an air-cooled 2.2-liter three-cylinder diesel that was said to produce 40 horsepower when new. The transmission has four forward gears, reverse, and a hi/lo transfer case. The tractor starts easily and that the transmission operates correctly through all the gears.
