This 2023 Toyota GR Corolla is one of 200 Morizo Editions produced for the US market, and this example is finished in matte grey over black Brin Naub and synthetic leather upholstery. The 1.6-liter inline-three sends power to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle, a GR-Four all-wheel-drive system, and front and rear Torsen limited-slip differentials. Additional equipment includes 18″ forged-alloy wheels, GR track-tuned suspension, red GR-branded calipers over slotted rotors, a forged carbon-fiber roof, gloss black exterior trim, automatic climate control, an Alcantara Morizo shift knob, and a GR Ultrasuede steering wheel. The car was recently acquired by the selling dealer and now has 93 miles. This GR Corolla is now offered with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, a wheel lock set, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title.
The GR Corolla features revised bodywork when compared to the standard Corolla hatchback, including wider fender flares, more aggressive front and rear fascias, rocker extensions, and a triple exhaust with stainless-steel outlets. The Morizo Edition adds a forged carbon-fiber roof and a gloss black front grille, rear spoiler, lower rear bumper cover, hood vents, and side mirrors. This example is finished in matte gray, and the selling dealer reports that paint protection film and a ceramic coating were applied to the body.
Matte black 18″ forged-alloy wheels are mounted with 245/40 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Stopping power is provided by red-finished GR-branded four-piston front and two-piston rear calipers over slotted rotors at all four corners. The GR Corolla comes standard with a rear strut brace, and the Morizo Edition features two floor braces and GR track-tuned suspension.
The cabin houses black Brin Naub and synthetic leather-trimmed front bucket seats that feature red stitching and GR logos on the headrests. Additional interior equipment includes automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, an Alcantara-trimmed Morizo shift knob, red seat belts, aluminum sport pedals, a frameless Homelink rearview mirror, GR Corolla-branded carpet floor mats, and an 8″ infotainment display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. The Safety Sense 3.0 driver’s assist suite includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, dynamic radar cruise control, lane tracing assist, and road sign assist.
The GR Ultrasuede-wrapped multifunction steering wheel features a red centering stripe and fronts a 12.3″ configurable display. The digital odometer indicates 93 miles.
A plaque affixed to the left side of the dashboard designates the car as number 30 of 200 Morizo Edition examples produced.
The turbocharged 1.6-liter G16E-GTS inline-three was factory rated at 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to all four wheels via a six-speed iMT manual transaxle with rev matching, a GR-Four all-wheel drive system, and front and rear Torsen limited-slip differentials.
